morning all hope the heads are ok this morning i am just getting my act together son has brought a lot of his gear home to wash and its ghard to dry without being on the line so the bath will have to do i think
I am going shopping when the roads warm up a little its not so bad thies morning here no more snow overnight we have some lovely icicles they could do some real damage if they fall on some one .
Am hoping froggy will come down for a few hours today

Typical i missed the party LOL. I sat their on my own watching an empty screen for ages on my own in the throne room.Then power ran out on daughters lappy and guess who could not find the charger LOL. It is not me who has the red and white tree DET you were talking to her last night LOL. My tree and decorations are still safely in their boxes LOL. They won't come out for at least another week. NOTE !!!! Perhaps I am converting Yidarmylass to a decent team LOL. (Runs for cover,tin hat firmly on head)

Morning Maz, glad the weather has improved a bit for you. We had quite a lot of snow last night but it turned to rain so most of it has gone today. It will be ok if it does not freeze over. Hope Froggy gets to visit today

It's coming in very dark here already. I've been clearing snow again, getting a bit optimistic now because we didn't have snow storms last night and haven't had any today either.

Fell asleep last night, knew I would. Even had a half a glass of wine in my hand at the time.............luckily I didn't spill it.

well its not cold out met froggy in Bishop to look for wellies not one pair left any where
I am in now though as its very dark and beginning to freeze so we went our separate ways on the bus

No more snow here either. It has been raining this afternoon, so that is helping clear the roads.

BM came yesterday teatime and neighbour's son was out too so between us we dug both cars out . Got the cleanest piece of road on the street!!

Ventured out today to S***s****s, but did a tour of the car park and departed!! Finished up at A**a which is much closer to home, but what a nightmare!! Queued for 1 hour and 20mins to get out of the car park!!! No, I am not joking!! It is supposed to be a one way route out, but all the morons were driving down to the bottom end hoping people would let them out, so we all sat there in an orderly queue and couldn't move!! One woman was going ballistic and even had a go at two policemen who had called in the store for lunch I suppose! Eventually the manager came out with a load of staff and placed them at the end of each lane to stop them pulling out and we managed to get out. Was I mad???????

But I got home in the end, and guess what!!!!!!!

I've put up the C Tree!!!!!

My Gosh YG mine is still in it's box as OH and I have decided to decorate the lounge before putting it up. Just been out and bought a load of supplies now to summon up the enthusiasm to start it LOL

Finger's crossed there is no more snow for Pauline and other's effected. I bet Frog was glad to get off the reservation for a while.

At the rate of the thaw and above 0 temps predicted here, it should all be gone here in a few days. LG and OH sounds like my father in law............who has been known to start to decorate the kitchen on Boxing Day. Did I hear that a certain fb team is at the top of the Premier League?

Just a quick look in now. It was me instigated the decorating as the lounge has got very tatty and now I get more time at home it is really annoying me sitting looking at the state of it. Still need some wallpaper but couldn't find any we both liked today so back off out tomorrow to find some then home and make a start,

morning all its icy everywhere at the moment i did get a lie in so need to get my act together church is cancelled as the preacher and others are snowed in still Shildon got it really bad and the roads are .still not clear
so the aim today is to get the family cards written and mums parcel ready to post off as the post is struggling at the moment

I'm up and about getting washing in and washing dishes before venturing out to buy wallpaper. Yes YG I am serious !! but OH won't have a bar of it LOL. He has said I can have some in my office though. It is very damp and grey here today but no snow and ice thank goodness so I shan't slip on my botty .

Internet still on a go slow. 0.13mgb download, 0.16 mgb upload. As there has been telephone poles down, I shan't start complaining until the middle of next week if it hasn't improved.

A beautiful sunny day today, but cold and treacherous underfoot!!

Am staying in snug and warm. Washing done, just a pile of ironing to do!!

Back at work tomorrow, no excuses now! Dreading Friday if our important VIP descends on us. It will be all hands on deck and my line manager has even mentioned that perhaps we could paint the walls! Yeah, right!! We might as well go out and buy some gilt edged towels too even though we have hand dryers!! And before you laugh, white hand towels were bought the last time we had a VIP visiting and he never even went near the loos!!

Well YG - the Queen probably thinks the world smells of fresh paint!!! Years ago at the age of 7, I was taken to see HM and stood in the 'employees' enclosure for a good view, up against the railings. I can still remember the hassle of getting blue paint off my clothes and hands - lol.

Perhaps if he sees your building warts and all, he is more likely to support funding as it goes to help others rather than on titivating surroundings.
