LOl Yg. I used to stock up with loads at Xmas and have loads left over so now I only buy what we need.

YG

YG Report 30 Nov 2010 22:29

I did too LG but I learnt my lesson!! The shops are only closed on Christmas Day now anyway and I have a very economical Christmas as far as food is concerned.

LaGooner Report 30 Nov 2010 22:38

I buy just a very few little treats mainly for the kids, Usually they are so full up from a decent dinner that they end up taking some stuff home with them.

It maybe unused much of the time true, but I think it would be a worthwhile investment, just remind the public what it was like being stuck at home, day after day, when you tell the local government that you would like some snowploughs PLEASE.

Ours stand still from April to Oct, last year they were hardly used at all.

SORRY but I would of thought the areas with snow, like yorkshire and that area would have them, but I guess not. Never mind, just stay in and keep warm by the fire.

YG Report 1 Dec 2010 06:48

lol LG, my furry friends are sulking too! They did run out last night before bed and it was hilarious watching them! Two minutes and they were back!!!

We have had a lot of snow overnight and there is no way I am venturing out. I haven't heard a vehicle go past since going to bed last night and no buses. Looks like a good six inches has fallen and it is still coming! We normally miss the worst of it here being in a valley but it has sure got us this time!!

Stay warm and take care everyone today.

You're up early YG.

Don't even try to go out, it isn't worth it.

Ooooooh, are we famous now?

I won't be going anywhere for a couple of weeks at this rate.

Good morning (and Evening to RMS who ought to be in bed!)

We had another 3 ins over night. We had intended to do the weekly shop (not panic buying - lol) but I can't work out if the grit lorry has been on the main road. I can normally see if traffic is passing from a bedroom window, but nothing did while I watched. At least the milkman got through from the depot about 5 miles away, bless him.

'My' school closed early yesterday and is closed today. PC stayed over night at her b/f's, but that was planned. With her track record with prangs, I'm glad she didn't drive. Her next shift is tomorrow. It might be best if she stays there again as it's closer and in a built up area so more likely to get the gritters out.

For RMS - she was packed off yesterday with a blanket and shovel, extra clothes and wearing her flowery wellie boots!

Hope Maz does have another snow day. Even if it were open, I bet half the chiidren wouldn't go in.
