Well I think we got that full 80cm of snow during the night, looks like I'm going to be stuck here till spring.

The sun's out now so maybe some of it will melt before the next lot comes down.

There's a feral cat (that sleeps in one of our compost bins) who we feed everyday, but the snow is so deep that he's afraid to come out. We're having to take the food to him to keep him alive. We've tried to get him into the garage but we're not having any luck.

Flippin 'eck Pauline. That's ridiculous. You are going to get soooo fed up with it, especially as you have reasons to have to stay at home. Is your Carer able to get to you, or are you having to manage by yourself?

xx

No DET, the carer can't get to us.

It wouldn't bother me walking to the nearest shops, but obviously I can't get the wheelchair out..............not unless I walked behind a snowplough.

Happy 1st birthday thread. Hope you live long!!

No more snow today, and buses started running a shortened route mid morning, so have been into town to stock up on some food!!

Got plenty of goodies for the party and the vintage wine is cooling in the fridge!

Happy Birthday thread!

Here - have this bottle of Disarno I snaffled at the shops. Don't drink it all...it's supposed to last over Christmas!

Not sure I'll be around, having knackered myself digging the drive out. If the last 2 evenings are anything to go by, I shall probably nod off the armchair - lol. Iff Maz splashes a bit on her scarf and wraps it round her face, it might stop the moisture freezing, and help to keep out the cold! Brrrrr

Snap DET!! I have just spent an hour outside with BM digging out my car!! I am so grateful to him for coming as there is no way I could have managed on my own. I'm totally out of breath as it is.

Just sitting down now to eat my dinner so that I have a full tum to start on the Disarno and wine!!

Snap here as well, been in and out all day (in-between seeing to Brent) trying to clear the drive and some of the path. I'm absolutely shattered, need a soak in a hot bath now.

But I'll leave a bottle of Gin and a bottle of tonic for the birthday thread, won't bother leaving the ice-cubes, just nip outside and snap a bit of the icicles.

Happy First Birthday thread.

If it's anything like last year's experience, the cats and littlies will soon demolish the tree. Just as well...far too early! lol
