Fingers crossed for you - metoffice site shows dark clouds with one snow flake, -2 or -3, so either way it will be cold and possibley icy. So take care which ever way it goes! Might be an idea to get some basic food stuff in, in case the on-line shop goes awray. It can stay in the car until OH can retrieve it. its not as if it will go off in the heat - lol

I had the large online order in on Sunday evening so reasonably well stocked with the staples. If the roads stay as they are today I will be out and about we have had no snow at all today but it is really cold. Went out earlier wrapped up really snug in the wooly hat and the famous scarf LOL

Well. with that famous scarf, they will certainly see you coming!!!

Oh yes especially the new one I bought at the emirates on our tour, nice and bright this one.

You can wear the matching hat - quite an ensemble - lol

I have got the matching one and that is what I am wearing at the moment. Little one has the same one too so we make a lovely pair LOL. We have just had our photo taken in matching home shirts I am going to get it printed off and hang it in the office with all the rest of my memorabilia

No, I haven't bought any wet weather boots DET!! Don't normally need them, but have been caught out, so they will be the first thing on the shopping list once I can get the car out, as well as a snow shovel!!

Morning All - Hope you have some success in the wellie boot department - ours stay in the shed and get dragged in if there is a suggestion of snow.

The overnight snow has filled in yesterday's foorsteps but at least I can see a depression where we cleared the drive. If we can get out of the road, we should be able to get to the shops. The problem with being at the end of the Close is that we haven't had any 'trail blazers' to pack the snow down. Should we not go today, we really must tomorrow.

Well I thought we had got over the worst, and a couple of bus routes had reopened, although not my route. It is coming down again with a vengeance and in less than five minutes the road is covered again.

I think I better try to do an 'online' shop, though goodness knows when they will be able deliver!!

That's probably a good idea YG, as long as you can walk to the local shops in the meantime. Knowing your previous experiences, you may not want to drive to get more bulky goods.

Right - now you need to wait for your phone call. Hope she doesn't give you to much work to do!

YG, you might find that the shops won't deliver if the roads are really bad.

LG, you must live in the only place in the country that doesn't have deep snow..........think I might move there.

DET, if you manage to get to the shops make sure you get enough in to last a couple of weeks, then you can just stay in your nice warm house for a couple of weeks.

If you have to go out to work Maz, be very careful.

Morning Pauline, yes both myself and Yidarmylass are lucky here. We never seem to get a lot of snow but just a few miles away at Luton (that being on the Chiltern HIlls) they get it quite bad. I am now off upstairs to my nice warm office to do some admin.
