Maz - you little tinker! You really got us going lol

Morning Auntie. Well, if Spot is not too old to learn new tricks, then neither are you! >>>>> runs for cover.

Yep, we have a day off work (those of us that are paid to) for The Wedding. What with the Easter Bank Holiday Monday, 3 days then a one off Bank Holiday Friday, a lot of people (BM and YG included) are having 10 days off work. A bit like Christmas time really, but without the Turkey and Tinsel. Most schools are on holiday then anyway, but not sure if the shops will close.

Hmm SatNavs. Think we are becoming too reliant on them, hence the difficulties today. The map reading/direction finding cell had been left at home, along with the SN we sometimes borrow. I do a very good impression of the speeding 'beep'. OH objects that unlike the SN, he can't turn me off - lol

Hope YG enjoyed her evening out and returns listing a menu that will make us drool into our coffee/tea cups in the morning.

Morning all. Bright and breezy here so 1st load of washing will be out on the line pretty soon.

RMS. They are cuties and this lot are a lovely bunch. I have nicknamed one Smiler see if you can work out which one LOL. How about some photos of the leaders too so we can see how cute you are ?

Morning (rather belatedly) My first load is already out - so there, LOL. PC running terribly slow and making a humming noise. Oh dear.

LaGooner Report 2 Apr 2011 09:22

Oh dear DET sounds like it needs a bit of TLC ! Ok smarty pants just cos I had a little lay in this morning (very unusual I may add) LOL. I have just realised I left yesterday's bedding wash on the line overnight Whoops !!! Luckily it did not rain.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 2 Apr 2011 09:33

All sorted - rebooted and kicked the Tower - lol

Glad your yesterday's lot didn't get wet LG
2nd load now on the line!! Mind you, haven't got dressed yet :)

After a potter, think that todays task is to repot the tomatoes. Saw a really cheap poly-tunnel type greenhouse at the garden centre the other week. We might get one if they still have them. Really must stop spending money LOL

AuntySherlock Report 2 Apr 2011 12:08

Evening all. Spot famous!!!?? Nope all he does is eat, sleep and leave hair everywhere, or is that OH! Whoops. I mis read your post DET and thought you were going to "report" the tomatoes. Sat there for a least ten seconds wondering if you had triffid-like tomatoes that had run amok in the garden.

OH has gone to bed after resetting half the clocks in the house. Therefore it is now either half past eight or half past nine depending on which clock I can see. I have just finised the spare room, so that is another job out of the way. I still have to clean up the mess I made cleaning up the spare room. Can you understand that?? I am terribly untidy when I am cleaning. I clean minutely, thoroughly, and very fastidiously, but, by the time I am finished there are buckets, cloths, mops, spray bottles, left over screws and other hardware bits, feather dusters, bags, the hammer, the drill, and so forth and so on, the length and breadth of the house. Oh well they aren't going anywhere so tomorrow will do.

Went with the house hunter to look at possibilities for a new dwelling. Very interesting having a sticky at how others prepare their houses for sale or rental. I am quite concerned that each and every place we visited was viewed as a "doer upperer". I am practicing saying "no", very often!!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 2 Apr 2011 12:48

lol @ Auntie! OH must have been exhausted just looking at you autumn clean, hence the early hour to bed :))

At least if Blond one does buy a do-er up-er, there shouldn't be the rush to get it sorted. OH's sister is trying to buy one of those, but it really does need sorting - wiring, plumbing, blown plaster, kitchen etc. She has tastes which exceed her pocket so the in laws have asked OH to keep on eye on her (read - help do some of it for free). Well, it'll it keep him off the streets - lol

Off to find the next size up pots - wish they did grow to triffid size - lol

YG

YG Report 2 Apr 2011 17:23

Well I survived the evening >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> just!! And I didn't throttle the DIL, although I felt like it in the first half hour of being there. Can't understand for the life of my where all these teethmark on my tongue have come from and it isn't half sore lol!

I asked my gdaughter to invite me on to her FB page, but her mother says it's not 'cool' to have family talk to you when you are a teenager! Her way of saying she doesn't want her to!!

We settled on chinese and it was the nicest one that I have had for a long time. Son was his uisual mischievous self and the youngest gdaughter an absolute gem. The eldest, coming up thirteen >>>>>>> well, maybe the least said about her mood swings etc etc, the better!!

Came home armed with two bunches of flowers, some chocolates, some perfume and matching shower gel! They have gone off to that Swedish furniture place today to buy wardrobes for the eldest gil's bedroom.

Done the food shopping and washing, now pottering in the garden doing a bit of repotting and some more planting lol!! If it stays fine tomorrow I might tackle the grass!

Evening all, I spent a lovely afternoon in the garden with the littlies. we have fed the fish,planted seeds, watered the plants in the greenhouse then played with all the big garden toys. I am now completely shattered LOL

AuntySherlock Report 2 Apr 2011 22:05

Morning all. One hour more sleep this morning so I was up extra early clock time and right on time body time. Clean up stuff is now cleaned up and I am just waiting for Spot to discover we are all out of sync with his body clock.

We are going for a drive this morning. Haven't done this for ages but OH wants to try out the new stretch of expressway just completed. For "try out" read "drive very fast". We will then go to a garden centre and have devonshire tea. This will be a reward for me for sitting quietly and admiring his navigational ability. No satnav in this vehicle. I am also hoping that I can find some plants that need repotting into my pots.

A few teaspoons of honey will soothe your sore tongue YG. I am envious of your choice of meal. I really enjoy Chinese cuisine. How did your gdaughter respond to your FB request. You might find she does not hold the same view as her Mum. It happens sometimes. Are you able to send a request to be a friend? That way gd can have the option of accepting or rejecting you!! Oooh that sounds a bit stressful.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 3 Apr 2011 08:31

Happy Mother's Day to all - hope you will be spoiled today.

Glad you enjoyed your evening out YG. G'daughter could accept your request, but fiddle around so you don't actually see anything on her page. That's what PC has done to me. She got fed up with me asking what X meant. Probably just as well...what the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve and all that! At least I can see Eldest's and BM's, and have some idea what they are up to. They are more 'grown up' and have nothing to hide from the parents.

Hope Auntie's OH doesn't follow in his daughter's footsteps and pick up a speeding ticket - lol

Did you enjoy going down the slide and on the swing, LG??? lol

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 3 Apr 2011 08:36

Ooo missed you there Maz. Sounds a busy week ahead. How can you fit in it around your first job? Sorry to hear about your bus debacle - and 'they' wonder why people don't use them!

No lie in for us - trying to get the body clock ready for early starts at work during the week.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 3 Apr 2011 08:38

Lie in Maz, what's that LOL ??????

I was not allowed on slide as my B*m would have got stuck in it LOL. Just sitting here browsing through the threads and having my morning coffee then onwards and upwards catching up with a few more little jobs. sigh!!! A woman's work is never done LOL
