Oh well, guess I had better get my dinner done and put my feet up to watch the news! Might get a bit of fh done tonight. Her Maj will be back later, no doubt!

huff blow ,hoover, dust , well cant cook cant get to the iron only one radiator ,
I have cleared enough dust to make a coffee and put the one radiator on to dry the nearly dry washing ,I have electric tonite and a load of mess but it is better than when i came in at lunch time lol .

Booooooooooo I'm back. Guiding for tonight done and dusted now to prep for tomorrows LOL

evening lg i have no kids club until after the holidays due to a family crisis with leaders so it is well timed really .

Been doing some more HouseW***!

I have sorted out some cupboards and found things I did not know family members had!

I have even filed some of my research papers in an actual folder.
What a good girl!!!

I hasten to add there is another two large piles of papers to get through.

Spring blossom is falling onto the pavements.
What a lovely sight.....light green and pink.

All household members are glued to seats in front of TV for the Ghana versus England football match.

I'm at the back on a high chair so I have a good view!

Morning all chilly here this morning. Was a delightful 27 degrees yesterday and today promises to be around 22, which is not too bad. I think yesterday was the last gasp of summer and we are now plunging rapidly into winter.

Bathroom cupboard is clean and tidy. I haven't quite decided the task for this evening. It will probably be windows and curtains in the spare room. Good to see you're going with the flow with your renovations Maz. Just push the dust to one side, there will probably be more before they've finished and there's always tomorrow to clean it away.

Must away, work beckons and as it is almost the end of the month I have plenty to do. I too have been contemplating the R word however I figure while my brain holds out I might as well keep going with the paid employment. The alternative of sitting out the back with OH watching the pigeons fighting fills me with dread.
Anyway daughter is making noises about renovating MY laundry, so I'm going to need money for that. I haven't told OH yet, it's one of those announcements one has to pick the time of announcing very carefully. And you can stop rolling around on the floor laughing, it had to happen. Perhaps I might need to change the locks on the door, or confiscate her key. Catch you all later.

Well done Auntie, aren't you industrious! OH has a 'thing' about the bathroom, to that it his responsibility...and he does a good job! Why don't you reduce your hours and get them to employ another part timer? Gives someone else an opportunity, but you are still earning. Speaking from experience, H work expands to fill the time available. You could always take day time classes (exercise or 'improving' ones) instead of evening ones, and be a Lady wot lunches.

Our kitchen refit a couple of years ago only took a week. But the problems of where to put things and cooking on 2 burner camping gas rings and microwave....and no mains water in the kitchen, let alone a sink!

It's a bit dull and damp here today, better than it was earlier this morning though, it was tossing it down at 5am.

I'm going to be a lady that lunches today, going out with friends later. I suppose I should get some work done before I go. Then again............. what I should do and what I actually do - are 2 different things.

We didn't go out en family due to him-in-bed. Discussions have taken place, with the intention of a further attempt on Friday. Instead, a pleasant afternoon spent on my tod at the record library. found lots of BMBur so saved a packet on certs. Lots more to look for in trade directories, rate books etc. Its a treasure trove and they are sooooo helpful.

DET, my bungalow was supposed to be done last year, or so they told me when I accepted it! Some peabrain has put it in the wrong list and they won't move so it is due to be done next year.

I am having to go through next winter with a lounge radiator that only gets hot at the bottom. It's too much upheaval to have a new one fitted as all the pipework is stuck to the skirting boards and if they are replacing the whole system I might as well wait. I can use the gas fire, although it is juicy! At least it gives me more time to save for the things I need when it's done!

Sounds as though you have had some good finds DET. I can't wait to have time to visit the local archives.

evening all i am here lol , a few hiccups today but all is progressing well it is very messy still , no cooker or washer connected tonight lol so the slow cooker has been handy
