Hi YG I was wondering where you had got to, I hope GD had a good time.

YG Report 6 Nov 2010 21:35

Yes she did LG. She was a very lucky girl as she got a laptop from Mum and Dad! Her hormones are kicking in and she can be very sultry, but she was really sweet last night and very grateful for the presents that I gave her.

The dreaded 'C' word will be much easier now too, as she wants money or gift vouchers for clothes!!! I've got a good idea about what she like too, as well as makeup and jewellry!!

The dreaded C word, ooooo don't remind me LOL. Got a couple more bits today but still trying to find a birthday present for littlest GD who's 1st birthday is next week.

I just get a couple of stocking fillers as and when I see something that appeals to me. Fortunately I haven't got a lot to do and don't envy those that do, because I find it very tiring just wandering round and round not knowing what to get!

back again on lap top - have read the advice re flat batteries. Thank you LG's OH. Will check boot light etc, but radio is standard. They did disconnect the central (window) rear light years ago, cos there was fault. But the flat battery is a recent thing.
We moved furniture around in BM's bedroom today in prep for the arrival of Eldest and in law on Wed. it will be a 2 car pick up from LHR.......6 suitcases!

LaGooner Report 6 Nov 2010 22:31

You'll have to borrow my OH's car( a very large estate) I hate parking it LOL. But it was useful last week as we got a single bed in it no probs !

YG Report 6 Nov 2010 22:34

Good grief DET, six suitcases!! Excess baggage!!!

That reminds me of when we came over to the UK for a month. I just kept buying, because the shops in Zambia were absolutely useless and we flew back two weeks after 9/11. We had 91kgs and no chance whatsoever of getting it on board without it costing us over £700. We had to send it as excess baggage, which was pretty cheap, but had 1000km round trip to the airport in Lusaka to collect and clear through customs!

lol - bet you enjoyed the spending though! Not sure if it is within their allowance or not, but they are coming back 'for ever' so need most of their clothes and paper work + essential 'stuff'. Everything else they are bringing back is sitting in a crate on the docks in Oakland, then will go via the Panama Canal to Liverpool and then to Norfolk. Goodness only knows when it will arrive!

Well, at least the cats arrived safely 2 weeks ago (by air ) and are now being pampered in Norfolk. All shots up to date so avoided quarenteen.
