Hope LG & DET have a lovely day in the city, but don't get into any trouble - it's too far for me to come and bail you out.

Rise above it Maz, rise above it.

Hope YG didn't get too comfy and sleep in for work.

No chance of sleeping in with these two furry friends, Pauline! I was up at five, so made a cuppa and went back to bed for half an hour to read!

Well, so far, so good, I haven't heard anything yet, although the main news is still to come on!!

Maz, bite your tongue and try to ignore it!! You are far better than her!!

St Paul - the person or the place???

OK How long does it take you to get to London, the capital city of your teeny country?

By the way ------------------ Hi everybody (BOO)

LaGooner Report 1 Nov 2010 20:22

Boo to yuoo tooo RMS. Good to see you up and around.

For me, door to London Terminus is about an hour, perhaps a bit less if it's a fast (fewer stops) train. Although outside the London suburbs, we are still in commuter land, if that makes sense. :-)

St Paul's Cathedral - the one built by Christopher Wren, in the ancient City of London - and there were lots of reminders of the Cathedral's Patron Saint...and...and.. LG had a sneezing fit because of the incense being used during a service!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 1 Nov 2010 20:34

lol - have a good blow! On the way back to the station, I came across St Mary - le - Bow, and St James Garlichythe - both tree places. I'll have to drag OH up there another time with his camera. Wonder how that will go down????

RockyMountainShy Report 1 Nov 2010 20:37

Can't take her anywhere can you? Sneezing is NOT considered genteel, is it? I remember now big, domey thing, Nazis tried to burn it down in the 40's

AN HOUR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! even when I lived in the same province as our capital it took more then an hour to get there.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 1 Nov 2010 20:37

All I saw on my way back was crowds of people LOL

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 1 Nov 2010 20:38

Great fire of London burnt it down before Hitler tried LOL

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 1 Nov 2010 20:39

That's the one, RMS. Glad they didn't suceed. The cathedral community are, in the spirit of reconciliation, trying to raise funds for the churches in Dresden - but the collecting box wasn't very prominent.

Ah, LG, but you don't have the family reputation of wandering off down back alleys!

LaGooner Report 1 Nov 2010 20:42

It was a bit tucked away wasn't it ? By the way DET I had to look down the phone again to see the pumpkin PMSL. Ooo and also to see Daddy's new haircut LOL LOL

Commuting to work is a bit different RMS, than out of peak times. BM used to leave work in the CoL at 16.30 and get in at least 2 hours later. It does depend on where you live and where you work in relation to the stations. Now he has moved into a flat share in London, it still takes him 1 1/4 hours to get home.

YG and Maz live oop norf and it takes several hours on an Express train.
