morning all , have been shopping I discovered we had very lttle fresh veg ,as Froggy and tadpole are here for the weekend then Andrew will be home tomorrow so another large mouth to feed ,I have a client booked in today for a couple of hours so will be out . then i am making a meal for the three of us later ,so need to do some swearing too ,
my wellies are purple Pauline and my boots look huge but they are the fashion around here .however they are too warm today lol

Morning all - glad the shopping trip was successful re the Boots. We did make it out yesterday, to the town rather than the shopping centre and managed to get my wrapping paper and crackers for next year. I also bought a half priced cardi from As** before OH said he'd had enough and wanted a coffee before going home. No stamina! LOL

Anyone doing anything 'exciting' this evening? We'll probably watch TV if we can find anything worth while (hate those end of year celebration programmes), read a book, or mess around on here. If the wind is in the right direction, we may be able to hear the boats on the Thames sounding their horns, and of course, there are other peoples fireworks to view!!!

Got littlies to sleep over tonight whilst Mummy and Daddy go out to my son's. We shall sit with our feet up (I hope!!!!) and try and stay awake with all the exciting TV NOT !!!!

Hi DET. I will be doing the same as you, watching the dreadful listings on tv, or stuck with my head in one of three books I bought today!! I nipped down to A*** just for a couple of things and they had some good paperbacks in the sale at £1 each. A couple of my favourite authors there, so I grabbed them!

Having a quiet relaxing day. I hate New Year's Eve nowadays! Would go to bed, but doubtless the fireworks will wake me and Duffy is scared of them, so may have some comforting to do!!

I am cooking lol not sure if i will make the magic hour but will try the cats will be worried by the fireworks too

I have just settled in to watch The Sound of Music for the umpteenth time and I love it!!!!

Three hours of bliss!! Feet up, hot cuppa and some choccies!

Well, we've just discovered we will be having a cold 4 days....the effing boiler won't light up and no one is available to come out!!!!

Me thinks we will be spending a lot of time at the shops/cinema just to keep warm although we do have an independent gas fire in the living room.

Oh DET, thank goodness the weather has warmed up just a little. Shut yourself in the room with the gas fire and hibernate LOL.

think that's what we will do LG. PC will probably de-camp to the bf, knowing her - lol

Sounds good to me DET. Just waiting to here if we have a change of plans tonight after all.Just heard my son is not feeling too well so may not have littlies after all.

there is a lot of bugs about DET hope you dont get too cold poor you at least its not too bad with the temps again

Sorry to hear about son LG. Hope it isn't anything too serious. Hope you are all prepared for the visitors now Maz.

Been having discussion with OH and agree we should be thankful that it isn't as cold as it was. If so, we would either have tracked down someone and paid through the nose, or booked into a hotel...also at a high cost! We'll just have to pretend we are back in our v first home with no CH at all !!

Still on standby at the moment. Nothing serious just a heavy cold which I think the lovely caring son that he is, has passed on to me LOL.

i am just waiting i have some dishes to wash but the lasagne is done and the veg,Froggy is on call so will be darting around with him possibly if he is called

Well if he's called out Maz it'll make your New Year's Eve an unusual one.

Det, I wonder if there's an unwritten law that says it has to be in the winter that boilers break down. Hope you manage to keep warm until you can get it fixed.

Poor LG brought her children up to share everything ............even germs!!

YG is stuck in front of the telly with her feet up, sounds like a good plan to me.

Haven't seen RMS around, hope she's not snowed in.
