Goodness a heated debate already. Am I ever in luck!!

It might be "football" at that side of the planet but over here it is "soccer". OK I will add that as more and more Aussies are dragged kicking and screaming to soccer matches (or given free tickets), the term "football" to denote soccer seems to be more in use.

Oh heavens I'm not used to this. Been looking around the GR site. Few changes, everything seems to be very neat and tidy. Actually read their guidelines for message board use and had a look at the new Search Records button.

Don't know if I'm quite ready to return to family history research yet. Haven't the courage to go look at my other email box either. That is going to be full of family history messages. Oh heavens I've forgotten all about the A place. Wonder if the tree is still there!!

Just had a look see around the alternative email account and the tree. 130 messages on the email account mostly from family history services extolling the virtues of replying to their messages.

Had a look at the tree. A bit on the droopy side, looks like it hasn't been watered or pruned for a while and indeed it hasn't. Eight messages in that area from people who probably think I'm a right wally not to reply to their messages.

Oh well that can wait for another day or two. I need to go to bed now. Also need to see how the cricket match with India is going.

With BM living away from home, we don't get the updates to the cricket, although one of the England players has withdrawn due to health issues. That made the main news, as opposed to sport news, TV headlines.

Once you get round to answering those messages, your tree will be reinvigorated. And the one on the other site will still be there - you just won't be able to see any records you may have attached unless you pay for a sub.

I am back home safe, sound but knac*****!! And to top it all the bloomin' lappy refused to boot up because of some problem. Thank goodness for system restore!!
