LaGooner

LaGooner Report 23 Mar 2011 21:04

First one would be my reason LOL.

YG

YG Report 23 Mar 2011 21:21

That's a good enough one LG!! Notice I put it first too!! Besides, you might have time, but without the cash, it's not a lot of good lol!!

I've arranged to have my alarm system collected this weekend, because the council are now wanting to charge £3.60 a week for it, on top of a 7.9% rent increase and I'm out of the house five days a week lol!! I've got a phone at the side of the bed and my mobile so if I'm in trouble I'll use them!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 23 Mar 2011 22:11

Good for you. I'd do that too, I hate people trying to stitch me up !!

Also the attic has a floor so we can put a fair ammount over in the eaves which will give them space to get into the ceiling for the lights etc
as they are starting earlier it means it will all be done by easter and i will have a week left to get organised .

Maz, that's great news, it'll all be lovely for Easter. Good job you've got all the helpers organized. I'll just hand the biscuits round.

Have a good day everyone.

Hurry up LG or you'll be late! Do hope YG knows which side of the train to look out of to spot the red and white blur!

Sounds as if you have things under control Maz - packing up is a really good time to get rid of stuff you never use. Will they decorate as well, or just do the re-fit?

Internet still terribly slow and dropping out - think they are trying to fob us off now as they've said it is to be expected for 3-4 days while the line settles down. Harrumph.

Whoooosh!! Crash, crash, tinkle, tinkle (no not that type of tinkling), crunch, crunch, stomp, stomp, stomp.
Strewth that was a pretty rough trip. The old catapult needs of bit a renovation, the lacky band is all stretched and frayed. Needs fresh knicker elastic.

Well here I am outside Nut Lodge. Can't quite make up my mind how I should announce my presence.

I could fling open the door and shout, "Whoo hoo I'm back!!"
I could creep in very quietly. Well as quietly as one who has made an awful racket landing from a catapult. Probably scared the daylights out of them.
I could walk up boldly, ring the doorbell and give the bulter my calling card.
I could have phoned first so they were ready for my visit.
I could have, oh there are many other ways I could have returned.

Reckon I'll just go away and think about the subject a while longer!!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Mar 2011 11:20

Oh my goodness!!!! Look who has turned up!!!

(rushes round with duster and polish. Who left those muddy boots there? Was that your builders Maz, or YG's secreted firemen?)

Welcome back Auntie - you've been sorely missed.

Here, sit down and make yourself comfortable while the kettle boils. Just push the stray football paraphernalia out of sight.

Hi DET.
Be patient with me while I re-learn the ropes.

We've run out of summer weather over here so I thought a visit to a warmer climate might be a good idea.

Please tell me it's almost summer over there and about 30 degrees!!

And don't bother chucking omelets I can still dodge quicker than you can fire.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Mar 2011 11:31

Ha Ha -30c? You're having us on! We'd be moaning like no bodies business if that was the case, even in the 'height' of summer!

We are having a spell of mild weather - up to 17c in the SE - but it is going to get back to normal at the weekend ie10c. But at least the daffs are out and trees are beginning to bud. :)

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 24 Mar 2011 11:38

17 degrees!!!

Aunty stomps her weary way back to the catapult and climbs on board.
I'm freezing in 21 degrees.
It's been wet cold and miserable and very unAustralian.

Our footy season started tonight. Thank goodness.

Does KQ still follow that soccer team? With the red and blue colours, or something. Didn't they get beaten recently??

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Mar 2011 11:43

Yep - and her neighbour Yidarmylass supports Tottenham Hotspurs, another N London club. You should see the exchanges on here some nights - lol . But yes, I think Woolwich Arsenal lost something or other recently. Possibly a flower arranging competition???

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 24 Mar 2011 11:44

And it's not Soccer - its football!
