I had a wrong place of birth on a rellie and have changed it on their details. It is showing the correct info there, but on the lifeline it is still showing the original details. Have you any idea how I can correct it, or is it going to need an e-mail to GR?

Hmmm I have not the feigntest LOL. Perhaps DET might know if not contact GR and they will tell you.

Yes it is. I haven't put it on his thread yet, although I have mentioned it to him. Eccleshall Bierlow is a difficult district because it is right on the Yorks/Derbyshire border. It also shows her as being born in Sheffield, which Derek probably won't be able to help with.

There is so much confusion too with the info that my rellie in Oz is giving me. I have asked them to clarify a bit more. She's entered as Smelt on their copy of the census. We can't find a birth record anywhere for Smelt, but we have found her working in the 1911 census and also a possible marriage. BUT, on the same census that I have, she is recorded as Nellie Ellis.

I have been in touch with someone who had the same name in their tree, but it doesn't seem to fit anywhere.

I have tracked back to my ggmother's sisters to see who they married, but the name Ellis doesn't crop up there either.

I am absolutely stuffed now! I don't know where to go.

Aaaahhhhh, I think I have just had a breakthrough!!

More Sherlock work tomorrow night and hopefully a response from Oz and I might just have started to unravel it!

I have been going through the many photos I have got to upload onto my tree. Had to relabel loads so I know what is what LOL

I will still need his help, LG, particularly the parish records, but I want to get my facts right before I put them on his thread. It is a good job I waited cos my rellie has given me some wrong information which seems to be what threw the spanner in the works!
