Ooo - that's an idea for the next meet. Those that can, go on the slopes, those that can't sit in the observation deck and laugh!!!!

LaGooner Report 22 Jan 2011 10:31

LOL DET, that's a shame it really is a good laugh.
I did not know that Maz. I can drive to there from here it takes about 40 mins or so as you may remember J and H used to live there.

LaGooner Report 22 Jan 2011 10:35

That's a great idea DET LOL. Won't catch me on the slopes,not with my knees etc LOL. Yidarmylass might have a go though !!!

Still I suppose if we tried and got ourselves in trouble the firemen could come and save us. There is a very large fire station just up the road

Mazfromnorf Report 22 Jan 2011 10:41

yea there are only so many stop there but it is possible to do it
it is as expensive as london though unless its booked well in advance we can get a really good deal if we book 12 weeks ahead it saves a fortune , peterborough is the most popular stop

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 22 Jan 2011 10:41

Right - sorted! We'll all sit and laugh at Yidarmylass then - lol I'm sure we can set an alarm off to get the fireman out - or could we arrange a visit? You never know, they may have 'Open Days' we could work around - lol

LaGooner Report 22 Jan 2011 10:44

Peterborough is not too far from here either Maz. I don'tt usually drive there I get the train as it is such a busy centre and can be tricky to park unless you know exactly where you are going.

No snow dome either SULKS !!!! I could do with a good laugh LOL

LaGooner Report 22 Jan 2011 10:45

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 22 Jan 2011 10:52

Peterborough is do-able with trains, as long as its not too early! Wouldn't like to drive 'that far'.

Train (for next Wednesday as an example) takes 2h10m - 2h 45m and costs about £40. could just about manage that and it might be cheaper booked well in advance.

LaGooner Report 22 Jan 2011 10:57

How does everyone feel about a meet there ?? This sounds interesting I am up for it .

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 22 Jan 2011 11:01

When it gets a bit warmer! We could do a weekend if that is easier rather than wait for a school holiday.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 22 Jan 2011 11:03

That sounds good to me. Plenty of advance warning and there could be good prices on trains for everyone.

Mazfromnorf

Mazfromnorf Report 22 Jan 2011 11:10

may be that would be a good idea 12 weeks is a good length of notice for YG and I

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 22 Jan 2011 11:13

I think probably the best bet is. If you are interested Maz get together with YG to arrange a suitable date as you are both the 'busy' and distant ladies so to speak and then the rest of us can try and fit in with you. I would love to see you all again and I am sure Yidarmylass would be up for it too.

Mazfromnorf

Mazfromnorf Report 22 Jan 2011 11:13

we can down to 30.00 for april now so that gives us how much notice for the best price which i think is good value
