i am not getting on the net much in evening at the moment due to son being around a fair ammount again ,
froggy was down yesterday so did not do alot yesterday i walked up to the village to the library am out most of today too .it is very frosty outside so it should be a lovely day again

An ex- collegue at work wanted a Private Investigator. Her friend/collegue knew the name of one, but no contact details. We also knew him (and the friend) in the same sporting context about 12 years ago.

Some one on here looked up the ER and Land Registry for me. Not listed on ER but no change of ownership shown.
Not listed in phone books.
Not sure of spelling, or name of wife in case phone in her name.
Cross referenced name of son, found parents marriage hence wife's name.
Still not there.
Emailed friend who always seems to know everyone.
Explained that someone else wants to contact him.
She is at work and 'just happens' to be able to look up a (paper) file
Phone number given and it is still the person we want.

Person is rather suprised while I hedged around how I got the phone number as I think it is ex directory, but we had a good chat and his business number given. (at one point I thought he was going to offer me a job, then I real would be a detective - lol

Then we had to write a note referring to the sporting context and the persons name and giving contact details, in case the note ended up in the wrong hands!

Skullduggery but shows how FH research experience can be used on real life situations. It can be rather frightening to know how much info about us is out there...even to 'ordinary' people.
