Same here LG - but it looks as the southern part of the UK are gettingoff lightly. Maz and Pauline's area looks rather yucky on the weather map. Look out for flying branches you two!

Don't mention branches !!!!! We have a large overgrown tree on ajoining ground and it's branches are banging on our roof. The tree surgeon was supposed to come and deal with it in early January but oh surprise surprise he has a backlog of work and won't get here for a while. I was rather irate on the phone this morning I love a good rant !!!

Next door (the Brit Asian family) have 3 v large trees with TPOs on them - we've had dead branches fall into our garden before. They had permission to have them 'crowned' since last summer, but are only now getting round to quotes. He was going to do it himself, but everyone (inc us) has managed to persuade him to get an expert in. He'd need to borrow your turbo charged broomstick, and have first dibs on the zimmer frame if he came a cropper!

TBH - the bad weather must have delayed your bloke's schedule + emergency work from falling trees.

After having a rant this morning they have now let me know that all being well work should start on 21st FEB.

You can tell who's the boss on here then!!

It's really bad here, nearly got blown away today while I was at Windy Nook (that's a place in Gateshead). The QE hospital is up there, right at the top of a hill.

Happy Birthday Maz- hope you have a great day! Take your Wellies and Mac - looks as if it will be rather soggy.

Couldn't post last night as the internet went on a go slow. Got OH to have a look and apparently I had too many windows/tabs open. Then he nicked it ! LOL

Morning DET. I gave up last night too but not for the same reason. I discovered another major error on my tree and got the hump and did some cross stitch instead LOL. We are off out in a few minutes mad fools !!!!

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 5 Feb 2011 10:42

Well - a bit of fresh air won't do you any harm - just hold on tight to the other part of 'we' lol

But don't you just hate it when that happens? My first 'Will' arrived yesterday and I'm still not sure if I have the right father. Unusual surname but is he George Edward, or Edward George?? Might make a difference sorting out which family each with a James, John and Sarah, and a wife Hannah or Susannah who could have been known as 'Annah.

Back to sticking me head in the sand.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 5 Feb 2011 10:45

LOL DET. This error may mean me having to delaete dozens of entries and reentering unless I can think of a clever way around it. Hmmm Back to the drawing board methinks. Still I will worry about that later. Have a good day and hope to catch you later if we don't get blown away LOL.

Enjoy the outing.

When you get back, how about detaching the 'relationships' on your offline/Ancestry tree, then reattaching them to the correct parent/spouse? If the tree is also on here, you could perhaps then reload it?

PC has a uni friend staying- looked her father up on the internet - retired vice CEO of a major international company division. Ouch! But it did mean they moved around a lot to different countries and both parents have multiple marriages. Money doesn't bring happiness. (She is pretty 'grounded' and making her own way in life)
