What a terrible day you had yesterday YG. One cold snap and everything breaks down. Hope you had an extra hour in bed to make up for the time you put in at the office.

Take care our snow bound friends. None of that white stuff here although it is v frosty. At least the last of the leaves are falling now....It's snowing leaves and the grass is blanketted in them! Depending on how many are still on the trees, I might do a final clear this afternoon.

If I wait for OH to do it, I'd be waiting for ever! And it's 'his' grass that will suffer - lol. I used to leave them until they were all down, by which time the ones in the front were in next door's garden. He (next door) never said anything while I was working and raising the children, but since we've both 'retired' he has had a gentle moan. Well, he is 10 years older than me and not getting any younger! lol

No!!! Looking in the mirror, I think it's time the haridresser got the dye bottle out again - lol I quite like raking the leaves - its v satisfying and the activity keeps you warm. OH bundles himself up with so many layers he can hardly move. Talk about Michelin man!!!!

I used to collect leaves but don't bother now, just wait for the wind to blow them away.

We didn't get much more snow during the night but we've got ice under it now.

The main roads have been gritted so the bus got to us today, mind you, if it snows again they'll have to bring him straight back.

LOL DET, that conjures up such and image. LOL. As far as I have been is up the road to get the news[a[ers and that was enough for me outside thermometre is reading -3. I am feeling really bugged as I was going up the road A lady's face who I know from somewhere popped into my mind. For the life of me I cannot place where I know her from. Have you ever had it happen it is bloomin annoying.

Morning Pauline - glad you are having a bit of a break, but don't go too far from home. Just watched the BBC weather and looks as if you are in for some more. They think that if a weather front develops as they predict, us Soft Southerners will have heavy snow fall in the middle of next week!
