Morning all, cold and very wet today............. that's the weather - not me........ I'm nice and warm and dry, because I'm not going out in it.

Please don't send your snow up to us Maz.

Morning all. Glad you didn't add Windy to your post pauline - might have been last night brussel sprouts or baked beans :0

We saw a snow shovel in the garden centre the other week - £20!!! OH had a hissing fit and refused to pay out. And he was the one having a moan when it snowed. !

Fingers crossed Frog can sort out the computer Maz, and that it won't take too long.

Well we escaped the snow. Had some falling with the rain, but it was so wet it didn't settle. Turned really nasty and murky tonight, so curtains closed to shut it all out.

Just seen on BBC news that Donny council has had their 'decent homes' programme funding cut by around 40%. Goodness knows where that leaves me as mine is due next year. Back in the doldrums again!

Fingers crossed that yours will go through YG. I suppose it depends how bad it is in relation to others. At least you have had better heating during the winter.

Been wet all day here as well, with such low cloud it counted as mist. At least it didn't snow!

Missed!

Glad you are back on line until the bits and pieces arrive. You'll be whizzing about the web then! I dread the thought of our PC giving up the ghost. Everything important is backed up on memory sticks, DVDs and an external haarddrive, so at the very least everything is duplicated. Talk about built in fail-safe! Blame OH..it's the engineer in him - lol

Oh my more poor heart! That was cruel LG! I suppose you've been up with the lark/at the crack of dawn, but I'll have you know I've been up for an hour. So there.

Any decent plans for today? it'll be the same old, same old, here - although I'll probably nod off in the armchair this afternoon. Hope you have shaken off your 'bug'.

YG, some people who were Christened Ellen got called Nellie all of their lives. Maybe she was Christened Ellen.

On the 1901 it says she was born in Sheffield.

YG

YG Report 20 Feb 2011 15:57

Hi Pauline, she could well have been born in Sheffield as Ecclesall Bierlow was Yorkshire/Derbyshire border. I'll have a look at Ellen. Thank you!
