Most of the records shown are from the familysearch site. You can view films of the originals at one of the LDS family history centres. You usually need to book and need to ask to have the films you want available. This site show all the centres: |

You are concerned he's recorded as HILL not HILLS. Your surname appears HILL - when did it change. |

Sarah gives her YOB as 1808/9 which mean she was 17/18 in 1827; b 1819 she would have been too young to marry in 1827. I wonder if there has been an error in transcribing the year of the baptisms. You could try asking at your nearest Mormon FHC to view the film: |

Looking at the baptisms that safc posted, it looks as if they tended to wait and have their children baptised together. William was 3 when he was baptised. |

Yes, that may be possible.. A late baptism because JAMES HILLS shows up in the censuses and the age determines his birth year.. He may have been baptised late yes... |

DJ, do you know about the freereg site? They have transcriptions on there for baptisms in Langford up until 1812 - these are the only ones for Hill or Hills. They all have parents Thomas and Sarah: |
