Hiya yeh your right there on the date thanks for pointing that out to me :-) yeh he was defo in his 60's when he died and that is defo his death listed infact the only 1 I believe on the list for that that year... |

I still have 1 doubt on all of what we have talked about and that is to a refrence to another Charles Rhodes being on the 1891 censu who was aged 1 so he qwas born 1890 and the address given at the time was 54 bridge street bury heywood lancs if this is my grandfather then all of the other info we have talked about is invalid !!! |

There are 3 main series of army records - the medal cards (most everyone got a service or campaign medal), the pension records, and the service records. |

No not in this case. He was in Barracks and is clearly stated as a Private in the Army Infantry. |
